The Hamilton Ducks edged out the Hamilton Outlaws 5-3 in a back-and-forth affair. The Outlaws opened strong with early first-period strikes from Eric Cerino and Jacob Dyer, but the Ducks answered in waves with Mathew Araujo, Owen Fledderus and a late flurry led by Austin Grech’s two goals to turn the tide. Bill Petrie added a lone Outlaws tally in the second, and the Ducks also saw a minor penalty for high sticking in the third. The game included some penalties, and both teams showcased spirited, competitive play throughout.
